Privacy Policy Spent Chrome Extension

Spent is a Chrome extension that helps users understand the financial cost of time spent on distraction websites, based on a user-configured hourly rate.
Information We Collect
Spent does not collect personal identity information, account credentials, payment information, or web page content.
Spent stores the following data locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local:
- Your hourly rate setting
- Your distraction-site list
- Your work/payback-site list
- Your running daily total cost value
- Daily reset metadata (date of last reset)
How We Use Information
This information is used only to provide the extension’s core functionality:
- Determine whether the currently active domain is in your configured lists
- Calculate and display running cost/credit in real time
- Persist settings between browser sessions
Data Sharing
Spent does not sell, transmit, or share your data with third parties. Data remains on your local device unless browser-level sync or backup features outside this extension are enabled by you.

Data Retention and Control
Data is retained locally until you clear extension data, uninstall the extension, or manually reset/change values. You can reset the current day total at any time from the extension popup.
Children’s Privacy
Spent is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
